Field Trip!!

Got my permission slip signed and got to go to the MFAH. I have been here multiple times to perform at events that they have, but I haven't been here simply to look at art in a while.

Luckily for me, one of my best friends works in the museum, which means we got to hang out. What up Karen!

Disclaimer: We obviously we're drinking at work or in class or at 10am. But I forgot to take any photos from that day, so this will have to suffice. Also you can tell this is from a while ago because my hair is no longer red.

Getting to go to the museum was really great because we went through how to analyze modern art objectively. After looking at a few pieces, I felt like I was beginning to understand how to better go through a museum as opposed to my previous stroll through without stopping to really read or study anything.

My favorite piece that we looked at was the Odyssey that was installed especially for the MFAH. It is made from gunpowder, and the video that shows how it was made is really interesting.
