Book art in the hotel

I am currently in a hotel in Baton Rouge. I won the principal harp position with the orchestra earlier this year, and this week is their first concert. This weeks sculpture project involves cutting up books. My first one that I'm attempting to work with is a Dr. Seuss picture book. I'm trying to make it 3D like by layering the photos over each other.

These are some images that I found on the internet that I was using for inspiration.

So, with using "The Cat in the Hat", I'm trying to give a classic book that is widely familiar a new fresh, modern approach.

I selected the left page because I liked how the window curtains provided a frame. Then, I selected which words to keep on the right side, and then carefully cut through various pages to reveal pictures that would overlap on top of each other.

P.S. Wanna see what life is like for me on the road? Check out this video of me driving to Baton Rouge this week and to Beaumont last week.
