I came in after class and spent a lot of time pouring different molds, and trying to build this in various ways. The mold box semi worked, except for that the wax mold broke into pieces. To make multiples, I ended up using them as open faced molds, and hot gluing the mold together so that the plaster wouldn't leak out. The round pieces are the hardened plaster from the bottom of the buckets.
I wanted to incorporate the flowers from the beginning, as a nod to the fact that I was using a vase for the mold. I tried to think about the presentation, and in addition to trying different arrangements of the plaster molds, I put the sculpture on a white box covered in fabric.
