To make a mold box, I used scrap pieces of wood, and build a box using hot glue to hold it together. I put the vase in, filled in around it with clay, and used more vaseline then I thought was possible on the vase and wood. I poured hot wax into the mold. It took a while for it to harden (you can see by the clothing change it was a few days). I think the mold box building was my most effective project in terms of it actually turning out how I had envisioned it.
